The Generous Man behind the Unbelievable Success of the Blackstone Group

Here in brief, is Stephen A. Schwarzman’s story. Forbes Magazine named Stephen the 53rd most wealthy individual in the U.S.A. recently, but it’s his astounding generosity to society and his outstanding achivements that make him such a captivating person. This illustrate that the keys to a successful life are hard work plus indefatigable determination.

Stephen A. Schwarzman and his partner Peter Peterson set up the private-equity and financial advisory company Blackstone Group in 1985. Obviously, the Blackstone Group is now among the financial sector’s foremost m&a companies.

Having called the Philadelphia suburban area home for much of his childhood, Stephen A. Schwarzman went to high school in the Abington School District. After graduating from high school he opted to study at the distinguished Yale University in Connecticut and was awarded his degree in 1969. He took on an MBA at the Harvard Business school in Cambridge, MA. After concluding his MBA, Stephen commenced a career in investment banking. By the extremely young age of thirty one, he had been appointed a director.

Not only does Stephen offer his time and money to a broad range of not for profit organizations, but he has also volunteered as a part-time professor at Yale. He is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Manhattan. In addition, he declared with pride in March of 2008 that he was donating $100 million to the New York Public Library to help them put up a new building. He is also one of the trustees of the library.

Stephen Schwarzman is now an inspiration to successful business people — Times Magazine in 2008 listed Stephen as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. His rise in the financial sector has certainly been nothing short of miraculous, and no doubt his generosity has set America an entirely new benchmark to live by.
